Expanding Geoquest’s retaining wall solutions portfolio with the modular retaining wall, TerraStack®. Developed by Australian and New Zealand engineers specifically for:

TerraStack® has been designed to respond to a growing market demand for retaining wall systems that are simple to build, efficient to install and cost‑effective, an ideal solution for construction of residential and urban projects.
Drawing on Geoquest’s long‑standing expertise in mechanically stabilised earth (MSE) structures, TerraStack® delivers engineered performance in a system that is deliberately scaled for everyday construction environments.
A practical alternative for residential and landscape projects
TerraStack® has been developed for applications where ease of construction and manual handling are critical.
The system uses small, lightweight precast concrete facing panels, each weighing less than 25 kilograms, allowing installation without the need for site cranage in most cases.
This makes TerraStack® ideally suited to residential developments, landscaped public spaces and commercial projects.
TerraStack® can be used for retaining walls below 1.0 metre as a gravity wall or configured as a reinforced retaining wall for heights up to 6.0 metres, providing flexibility across a wide range of project types.
Engineered performance, simplified construction
TerraStack® is an integrated retaining solution combining precast concrete panels, purpose‑designed counterforts and geogrid soil reinforcement (geogrids used for walls above 1.0m).
Designed in accordance with Australian Standard AS 4678 and supported by full‑scale testing, TerraStack® offers predictable performance over its design life, giving confidence to contractors and property owners alike.
Despite its simplified construction approach, TerraStack® retains the benefits of a fully engineered Geoquest solution — balancing performance, efficiency and value.

Beyond performance, TerraStack® has been developed with the visual and environmental expectations of modern developments in mind.
The smaller panel format creates a refined, contemporary finish that suits residential streetscapes and landscaped environments. A range of textures and design options allows the system to be tailored to the surrounding context, while the surface is paintable with desired colours and anti-graffiti coatings.

From a sustainability perspective, the use of smaller, lighter precast elements reduces overall concrete volume compared to many traditional retaining wall systems. This contributes to lower material usage, reduced transport impacts and a smaller carbon footprint — supporting more sustainable construction outcomes.
