Things are really taking shape on the Reid Highway Interchanges project. Geoquest is proud to have contributed our TechSpan® one-piece precast concrete arch and MSE wall solutions to this significant transport infrastructure upgrade.

It’s great to see the latest progress photos from Main Roads as the Reid Highway Interchanges project continues to come together (above).

Read more about this Western Australian infrastructure project via the Main Roads website. The project at Altone Road and Drumpellier Drive/Daviot Road is constructing new interchanges for a safe and continuous route for residents, tourists and heavy vehicles.

Geoquest’s one-piece precast concrete arch Techspan® system that was supplied for the project is an evolution of our patented Techspan® solution, offering greater flexibility on site; the one-piece arch is ideal for smaller tunnels and overpasses, minimising on-site construction times. These particular units for the Reid Highway Interchange Project measure 9.0m in span and 3.0m in height and will provide a pedestrian underpass under a major road in Western Australia.

In addition, Geoquest supplied various MSE structures, alongside precast facing panels and precast concrete column formers. The MSE included abutment and wingwalls for road bridges, a footbridge and an underpass.
