Geoquest Australia is proud to have supplied bespoke architectural noise walls in precast concrete for the Mandurah Estuary Bridge Duplication Project.
The construction of a second two-lane bridge alongside the existing Mandurah Estuary Bridge, undertaken by Georgiou for Main Roads WA, will significantly reduce congestion and enhance road user safety. Geoquest contributed to this transformative project by designing, manufacturing, and supplying both MSE walls and precast concrete noise walls.
The new noise walls provide enhanced sound protection for the local community and are being installed in all four quadrants of the project: North-eastern (Waterside Drive), South-eastern (Waterlily Drive), North-western (Leisure Way) and South-western (Seahawk Drive). Extending from east of Old Coast Road to west of Leslie Street, these walls not only offer superior noise buffering but also preserve the privacy and quality of life for residents near the Mandurah Estuary Bridge.
This $110 million infrastructure upgrade, jointly funded by the Australian and Western Australian Governments, addresses the needs of more than 33,000 vehicles crossing the bridge daily. With frequent morning peak-hour queues stretching back to the Old Coast Road intersection and delays exceeding three minutes, the new bridge is set to streamline traffic flow and improve the travel experience for all road users.
