Geoquest Australia is proud to contribute to the delivery of the Inland Rail program — one of Australia’s most significant freight infrastructure projects.

Spanning more than 1,600 kilometres, Inland Rail is transforming how goods move on the east coast of the country, by connecting Melbourne and Brisbane through regional Victoria, New South Wales, and Queensland.

Geoquest is delighted to support this project up and down the East Coast, which will complete Australia’s national freight network; improving efficiency, connecting producers to markets, and creating new opportunities for regional communities and industries.

In Victoria, pictured here, Geoquest’s involvement encompassed four differing packages for MSE walls, precast facing panels, bridge deck slabs and truss slabs across the breadth of the project, including:

• Beaconsfield parade RSS wall in Glenrowan, VIC. 
• Seymour RSS wall in Seymour, VIC.
• Green Street Bridge – Approach Slab & Truss Slabs in Wangaratta, VIC.
• Wangaratta Station – Post & Panels in Wangaratta, VIC.

Through both the tender process and delivery, Geoquest worked closely with our client, McConnell Dowell, to refine interface details between the precast permanent formwork units and adjoining structural elements. This collaboration ensured precise fit and long-term performance, with customisation to align with site conditions.

Geoquest’s engineering and precast teams ensured no stone was left unturned — attending site to measure as-built dimensions and creating stencils to mirror the exact geometry of the panels at the factory. This meticulous attention to detail enabled a seamless installation and a successful outcome. Ongoing close collaboration, communication and support across the lifespan of projects is a cornerstone of Geoquest’ s client relationships and service delivery.

In doing so on this Victoria segment of Inland Rail, Geoquest not only ensured the highest quality delivery of the units but also strengthened client and project relationships, demonstrating our capability, flexibility, and commitment to project success.
